Karambi Mountain Coffee

Our new Bright coffee comes from Lot 20 in Kenya, a producer doing things a little differently

Lot 20 is led by Sidney Kibet, whose background in cider-making has shaped how he approaches coffee. Instead of fermenting out of habit, he experiments with yeasts, fermentation to open up flavour and bring clarity to the cup. The aim is to let the coffee express itself more fully.

Everything starts with people.  Lot 20 also supports farmers beyond harvest, offering literacy training, access to banking, and agronomic support. Younger farmers are encouraged too, with seedlings supplied from Lot 20’s own nurseries to helpkeep coffee farming viable for future generations.

For us, this coffee represents what Bright should be: clear, expressive, thoughtfully produced, and rooted in community.
