This special lot comes from a group of nearly 300 women members of Coope Dota in Santa María de Dota, Costa Rica, who in 2023, came together to create their own coffee.
Cherries are picked fully ripe and delivered to a dedicated receiving station, where the lot is kept separate for quality and traceability.
After a 24-hour rest period, the coffee is pulped using a demucilager, a common method in Costa Rica that gently removes the fruit layer while keeping sweetness and clarity in the cup.
The beans are then sun-dried on concrete patios, turned by hand 7–8 times a day to ensure even drying and clean flavours.
